The Emeryville Historical Society has produced two excellent synopses of the Shellmound Park: Shell Mound Park* and The Native Legacy*. 

*Note: these files take a few minutes to download, please be patient.

The Emeryville Shellmound has also been the subject of several previous archaeological investigations.
